About Ling-Zhi Mushroom

Lingzhi mushrooms have gained a reputation as the ultimate herbal medicine and has been used in China as traditional medicine for more than 4 000 years, making it one of the oldest mushrooms known to have been used in medicine.

Ling Zhi is the name of the mushroom Ganoderma Lucidum, which grows in the Northern Eastern Hemlock forests and enjoys special veneration in Asia and due to its health benefits and apparent absense of side-effects, the ancient Chinese doctors regarded it as the "Long-Life Herb".

The word Ling Zhi, in Chinese, means “herb of spiritual potency” and it has also been described as “mushroom of immortality”.

The most precious part of the Ganoderma Lucidum is the spore powder. This spore powder refers to the seeds of the plant that are released by the fruit body when it ripens during summer and autumn.
